I find it hard to believe that guy was a Navy SEAL. And an officer and Naval Academy Grad at that. On a team, he was the worst team player I have ever seen. No military man I know would act like that. Then he's a whiner, about everything. And now he's a quitter.
I think he is an embarrassment to himself, his family, the Navy, the Academy, and the SEALS. And that takes a lot to do. Primarily because he did all that in public. I am sure his College and their football team he coaches is proud of him as well.
Glad Mike Hughes is back.

I am sure the Special Operations Community is happy to be rid of a scumbag like that. Now, all the Navy Chief has to do is watch Top Shot to see that this whiners complaints are probably unfounded and that he is simply a whiney, sorry a$$, POS for a human being.

How would you like to be his former CO right now? I embarrassed that he was in our Navy, just think what other Army's think about the USA now seeing him like that. And the Collage I don't want to think what his team thinks of there coach now. How could you try to win with him as your coach..........sorry it didn't start out to be a rant but WOW......
Oh and good one jdphotoguy!!!!!!!

The thing I think is funny is that he wanted to do the exact OPPOSITE of what the competition is meant for. You are supposed to be there to compete with the BEST marksmen but he always wanted to put the best one's out before the end of the comp. so he wouldn't have to compete with them later in the competition. Am I the only one who thinks this is backwards or is it just me? As for him being a seal do you really think his other teammates would have put up with an attitude like that? I just don't see that happening.

I dvr the show and then fast forward to the events. It only takes about 10 min to watch. I got tired of all the bs last year and now just watch the shooting/events.

Re: EDIT: Another Top Shot thread
It is a competition and the winner gets a great deal of cash, so Jack's thought of eliminating all the best shooters up front was a sound one, but still seems underhanded to me.spmwheels wrote:The thing I think is funny is that he wanted to do the exact OPPOSITE of what the competition is meant for. I think folks should be eliminated based on their overall performance and enough of this BS with voting on who should be sent to the elimination round. Come on, I'm a guy and could care less about all the drama, I just want to see the cool toys and the stages they make them shoot.

Re: EDIT: Another Top Shot thread
I think if it were not for people like Jake (To be honest I cant think of any participant this or the previous season like Jake) then the rest would usually pick the right two to go to the elimination round. The producers made it part of the game so there is nothing the paticipants can do about it, but usually I think they do right, even the one time several episodes ago when they sent Jake to elimination even though he clearly was not one of the bottom three shooters.

I didn't mind his theory on getting the best shooters eliminated first, but his attitude was terrible.. Glad he is gone.

I liked the irony that Jake quit and the main guy he wanted out of the house came back
. All the other competitors have great sportsmanship, but Jake was just a whiney jerk who got upset when he didn't get it his way. Glad he's gone.
