Berger Bullets

Post by Tub Horn on Fri Oct 14, 2011 4:48 pm

I reload CT 168 silver ballistictip right now but there is so much of a weight difference over 100rounds that I have considered switching to Berger 168 vld bullets. Does anyone out there have any advice on the performance and knockdown and wound channel of these bullets. I shoot a 308 win around 2700fps

Ive shot a deer with 210gr bergers in a 300wm from 700yds. MV was 2850. It dropped in its tracks. Also use 175gr SMK in my 308 for deer. Works good too.

Shot placement is key over wound channel and the famous " knock down power"

Go for it. I been using 75gr PPU match in front of alot of H322 in my 223 and it works perfect for deer and hogs.
