My New .22
I was walking around the Birmingham gun show yesterday and a guy walked by with a .22 rifle that caught my attention. We talked for a while and I ended up bringing it home. I've been wanting to try F-Class .22 so now I've just got to buy some ammo and start practicing. This is a Remington 40x with a Redfield 3200 16x scope. I also got the open sights with it, a Redfield Olympic for the front and a Redfield Palma for the rear. There are a couple of small scratches on the stock but the only bluing wear is on the bolt knob. I'm going to try this scope but I may end up putting it on one of my other .22's and get a 32x or 36x for this one.

You beat the bushes but get some nice rifles. What do you use for pricing them, internet, blue books? I would have no idea what that was worth.

I use the Blue Book for info about them and value. I also use Ebang to get prices since a lot of the Blue Book prices are low. I've been looking at a lot of the .22 rifles for sale on Rimfire Central so I had a good idea of what this rifle/scope were worth and the price he was asking was excellent.

Re: My New .22
I have always dreamed of finding a gun like that. It was the first target rifle I ever shot and I made one hole with 3 shots (yes first time with a target gun ever) and it was the first 3 shots with that gun to boot. I thought I had missed two of the shots. Well to a boy of 13 that was the greatest thing ever....... I was hooked. Got into target rifles, but then I found handguns and never looked back. You see it was never anything for me to do with a rifle. The handgun I had to work for it. Sorry to get off like that she is a fine looking lady, very fine lady. I would love to find one like her. I love the old style target scopes and sights.
