The real unemployment percentage

Post by miker84 on Tue Oct 18, 2011 5:54 am

Heard this guy on Beck last week. Interesting how the unemployment percentage is measured differently now. The real number is somewhere between 16 and 23 (just like Greece).

I generally tend to lend an ear to "alternative" news sources. So yes this is not really new.

The same Government stats apply to inflation as well. Food and fuel are not really considered. In fact no "fast rising" product is. While some products are given a very large reference, that all tend to minimize what was histoically considered inflation.

It is the same as the unemployment rate during the "Great Depression".

Add to the numbers, all the Welfare folks, and you can really get a glimpse of how much crap we are in.

Free trade agreements are the cause of unemployment, period.

Free trade would work IF we (USA manufacturers) were not saddled with so much overhead, UNLIKE most of the countries that we 'free trade' with...

Our cost to produce something is CONSIDERABLY higher because of regulations and government collections for government entitlements...and UNIONS at times.

What the U.S. is doing is accepting low cost goods and while having to manufacture high cost goods all the while the government is trying to burden industry with even more cost...more taxes and ever more regulations (EPA)...it is a poisonous cycle that is KILLING our country's ability to compete!

We cannot do free trade unless we 'FREE' our industry to compete in the free trade global economy!

Speaking of free trade our glorious leader just signed a free trade agreement with Korea, Panama, and Colombia. We must have a few more jobs/factories to get rid of.

entitlements must be curtailed. But when they are we are really going to see the SHTF. But We as a country can't keep up with the pace.

we as a country cant keep up with the government, its way too big, we'll never get spending under control without cutting out entire agencies all together.
