refresh corncob media

Post by pinetor on Fri Oct 21, 2011 8:48 pm

I know its cheap enough to just replace, but is there something I can add to old corncob media to "soften" it. It is leaving a satin finish instead of a nice shiny polish. It seems more dry and hard.

Replace it. It will only clean so many cases before it is saturated with dirt. I tried to keep adding cleaner/charger to mine and it left dull finish on cases which was actually cleaning compound. I had to put them in towel to remove polish.

If you throw in a used bounce sheet from the dryer your media will last twice as long. Or you can tear up a paper towel and place several strips into the media along with the brass it will do the same thing..
