CSM (Ret.) Robert "Bob" J. Maddox
Hattiesburg
Robert "Bob" J. Maddox, 73, of Hattiesburg, died October 20, 2011 at Forrest General Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, October 24, 2011 at Magnolia Baptist Church followed by burial in Salem Heights Cemetery.
A professional soldier serving in the United States Army for 43 years, CSM (Ret.) Maddox was Special Forces Qualified and the President of the Special Forces Association of Mississippi. He was an active member, head usher, Sunday school teacher and AWANA co-commander of Magnolia Baptist Church and he was an Eagle Scout.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Maddox of Hattiesburg; a daughter, Michelle Maddox Flynt and her husband, Rev. Scott Flynt of Soso; his mother, Virginia Maddox of Laurel; a sister, Dorothy McGill of Hattiesburg; and three grandchildren, Zachary Flynt of Clayton, New York, Lauren Flynt and Peyton Flynt both of Soso.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5-9 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg.
Sgt. Major will be missed by friends at the Pinebelt Rifle and Pistol Club in Ellisville Ms.

went to the visitation. what a line. took almost an hour to get in. pictures, slide presentations and lots of people. when i left the line was twice as long as when i started. He will be missed.
