Less police on the streets....
http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/story/2011-10-23/jobs-lost-economic-woes-hit-police-budgets/50885474/1
So let me get this straight, by the end of this year 12,000 police officers will have lost their jobs and some believe that it may be as long as 10 years, if ever until those jobs can come back. VP Biden says that the decrease in the number of police will result in higher crime. BUT THEY STILL WANT OUR GUNS SO WE CAN'T DEFEND OURSELVES.

Surely you are not going to quote Biden and try to be serious in the same sentence.

See, there is a plan behind all the talk about cities and states laying off policemen, firemen, and teachers:
About 30 years ago the US Post Office was denied a rate increase.
Until that time, you could walk up to the front counter at the Post Office in Vicksburg and get stamps or your mail with no waiting. They had 3 or 4 workers all day every day.
As soon as their request was denied, the Post Office permanently closed all but 1 window.
Immediately, the line was out the door all day every day.
Instead of cutting back in the sorting room or increasing the carriers' routes, they cut back where the public would be annoyed and inconvenienced---hoping that voters would be outraged and write their Congressman demanding that the increase be granted.
That is the same principle at work here:
The Democrats are trying to tell cities and states to lay off workers who provide assistance and security to the voters---not the coffee drinkers in the back rooms.
Of course, those are mostly UNION members too. So the Democrats are trying to suck up to their waning base of organized labor support.

This was one of the things the "Stimulus" was supposed to pay for.
Smoke & mirrors folks, smoke & mirrors.
I have a liberal friend from college who loves to rave about stuff like this & how he supports Democrats because they take care of Fire & Police..... Meanwhile this friend is self employed & makes all his income "under the table" and hasn't paid income tax or filed a return in over ten years...

I know this is going to sound totally outrageous, but when the last election race was going on Hilary Clinton said something along the lines of if she was in power she was going to make it where Police Officers would not carry firearms, just like the Police in London. The police departments would still have weapons, but they would be stored in an armory at the station and could only be used in times where “the police would need their weapons”.

See, there is a problem right there. ;-)
But I have some "acquaintances" who have been raised to believe that no one needs a gun and that firearms are evil, etc.
Funny, when they recently felt threatened they readily called me and asked me to come over and stay with them for their defense AND TO PLEASE BRING MY GUN.
I have also been accused by a lady of being a close-minded bigot about the thugs who live in downtown areas of most towns and cities. I have called her bluff a few times by suggesting that WE go down town and walk around late one Saturday night just to let her show me how open minded she is. I get no taker on my suggestion.
Liberals always have different standards for themselves than they do for you.
That (double standards), in fact, is how you can spot a liberal from a mile away.
Nothing like a dose of reality to convert a liberal ideologist to a realist.

I actually have two liberal friends. I've tried in vain to show them the error in their philosophy.
The benefit I get from continuing a friendship is basically "knowing" the mindset of the enemy.
Make no mistake, I consider liberals mentally imbalanced and a danger to freedom.
