New to me 52 Polish M44

Post by Trailcutter on Fri Oct 28, 2011 7:41 pm

Stopped at a pawn shop today, they never have any surplus rifles. I was surprised to see this m44 on the shelf. I asked the guy to see it and as he took it out of the rack i see the 11 in the circle. My eyes popped, seems like i never see any 44s and heres a pole? Wow! I see 199 on the tag and ask what his best price is. He checks with the boss, comes back and tells me 150. So, i get to looking this rifle over good. All matching, no cleaning rod, funky non original sling and i believe a beech stock. No wear marks anywhere and finally a slight layer of cosmoline. Knowing im going to get it, i look the guy in the eye and ask "do me better one more time". He checks with the boss and then he replies $150 and we pay the tax, and tell me now if you dont want it, cause i've had my eye on it and thats a better deal than the boss made me!". Brought her home and taking a break from the cosmoline now. Man im excited.

That would be Thomas Pawn in Forest. I've bought a couple of guns there. I was in there about two weeks ago and didn't see the M44.
