Is this not a typical day -- It will soon be that bad, if not already, in Jacktown.

This quote really supports the need to "carry" your own .....

"Police officers were within feet of this event when it happened," Serpas said.

sounds like another typical holiday in new orleans. isn't the per capita murder rate through the roof there?

Even though we live in Biloxi, we still get the news from New Orleans. My dad happened to be watching it a few weeks ago and the mayor of New Orleans came on and said, “Statistically, you are more likely to get shot in New Orleans than a soldier in Afghanistan.” Gee, makes you want to visit there huh?

that statistic also holds true for many other metro areas in our country. Really bad when a war zone is statiscally safer than most large cities.
