Different 7.65x54r?

RUSSIAN 7.65X54R SILVER TIP 149GR LIGHT BALL AMMUNITION

Is there a difference between russian or romaian 7.65x54r silver tip 149 gr light ball and russian 7.65x54r 149 gr light ball? I plan on getting 1 or 2 spam cans and not sure what if any difference there is.

from experience they're both pretty similar. If you had to go with one I guess go with the Russian. Really no big or noticeable differences IMHO.

Here's the main concern: they're both corrosive. If you do not clean up at the range that ammo will eat your bolt for lunch. You won't even see it coming lol.

see Doug Bowser's comments on proper cleaning. There are also others who have neat cleaning methods. Before inquiring with Doug Bowser I would use hot, soapy water down the barrel and soak the bolt for a short time.

have fun with the Mosin (I'm guessing)! If you have a PSL or SVT I wouldn't use any corrosive ammo.
