Be sure the through bolt is tight on the Aussie rifles. The wood used to stock them can be coachwood and it is prone to crack and split if the bolt is not tight.

Very nice rifle 10 . Wish I could find one of those in good shape at a good price when I have the funds to do so. I'll be in Florida this month. Plan to visit the Naval museum at Pensacola.
