What is this?

Post by TankerHC on Fri Nov 04, 2011 9:08 pm

My sisters Grandfather-In-Law gave this to my sister to give to my Stepfather. I dont know much about revolvers and she knows nothing, nor does her husband. So they cant tell me anything.

No markings on it at all?

If I had to guess I would say it's an FIE revolver - 38 special.

Pretty sure it an Arminius imported by FIE. Had one when I was 15. Never shot it much.

Newer Arminius have a shroud around the ejector rod and better sights.

By the shape and checkering of the grip it looks like a Hi-Standard.

Arminus for sure. They liked the vent rib. On their 357's the rib would shear off in the first 50 shots becoming a rearward flying projectile!
