What is it? Ammo Quiz

Capt. like gun quizzes so here's a quiz on ammo. I just finished loading a few rounds for one of my old guns and cleaning a couple of others. That got me to thinking about this. I like old guns and anything oddball. Here's the ammo for of few of my old ones. Some are pretty obscure but some should be easy. Some of these are factory loads but I load for all except the first two on the left. Number 5 is a .308 for size comparison. Any guesses?

name those calibers in 15 second or less.

Number 5 is a .308!!

Good grief I,couldnt even,start to guess, just want to know what #1 is.

Capt is good. #5 is .308.
Shooter got two of them. #13 & 14 are the .44-40 and .38-40.
#1 is a European round. #2, 3, and 11 were military rounds.

Close but older that the .45-70.

I'll guess that #7 might be the 7.65 X 53 Argentine round. Looks very similar if it's not.

#1 looks like a 45-120........ish.

Yep. It's a .50-70. US adopted the .50-70 in the Allin Conversion Model 1866 Trapdoor rifle and used it through 1873 when the Model 1873 Trapdoor (.45-70) was introduced.

Very close. I didn't think anyone would get close to that one. It's actually the 9.3x72R. That's what my drilling is chambered in. #'s 4-15 are all American cartridges.
