Anybody got a VV reloading manual - looking for 7mm-08 data

I use N540 with pretty good results in 308 and am stumped by the fact that none of my reloading books have N540 listed for 7mm-08

To my way of thinking....it oughta be suitable for use...along with 4064, Varget and RL 15

anyone got any N540 data for a 120 grain Barnes TSX...I guess most any 120 grain jacketed would do

From this I gather it aint a good choice...still kinda hard to figure out why though...

stuff is expensive...but doing hunting ammo so not that big a deal

i love VV powders but why you pick N540??

works good in my 308...figured it might work just as well in 7mm-08

N140 is single base N540 double base suppose to be the only diff.

Its still sort of a mystery to me why there is no 7mm08 data with N540

personal fav in 308 would be N550

If it's not in the Barnes manual, I think you are screwed. TSX data can't be swapped for any other 120 jacketed round because it's a solid bullet vs lead core and it has those three rings cut in it. I use it exclusively in my 30-06 hunting rounds, very accurate and uniform terminal performance at any range.

Yeah I sorta figured I was screwed....situation normal

Loaded up some 120 TSX with RL 15...we will see

I looked in an older Barnes #3 manual. The VV powders they list are N140 and N150.

120 grain XBT and solid

N140 38-42 grains max
N150 39-43 grains max
