Had a blast today, Thanks to everyone for your help and advise.
msshooter,
I may just have to try that 22 action, need dust off the ol' MarkII anyway. I need a more practice something, might as well be cheaper on the ammo.

Had alot of fun today really didn't want it to end. It's very nice when you feel pretty good and able to shoot fair and your with alot of good friends. Very enjoyable day, but I'm ready to see some score's.

That's right cheaper is the way to go. You can work on a lot of shooting techniques with the 22 just as well as you can a larger caliber. Granted you won't get the recoil experience that you would with other pistols but transitions, sight manipulation, movement and other techniques are the same and you get to do it for less!
Don't forget with the rimfire you don't need a holster, you get to start at the low ready pointed down at a 45 degree angle. So if you have several mags, bring the 22 out for next match and let's continue to grow our sport!!!!

Thanks to all the shooters that came out and helped. Set-up an tear-down was great. Good to see so many people come out...lots of new shooters. Please send in your stage ideas and we're happy to use them.
msshooter was SMOKING with that rimfire gun, and I learned a couple of things watching him.
Congrats to Rodney. He was the class of the field.
Scores should be up soon. Remember, ICORE is this Saturday, and yes...you can shoot your semis.

Thanks to Gale for the deceptively hard stage on the Back 40.

That's right JD, Gale wanted this stage and when Cliff gave Danny free rein on the back 40, we told Gale that this was his chance. There where a lot of people who had misses b/c they hit the 3rd plate while trying to hit the 4th plate and continued to the stop b/c they heard the ring. You definetely had to call your shots on this stage to make sure you got the hits. I agree with JD, thanks Gale, that was great!

Definitely much harder than it looked! Forget exactly who it was but one lefty in our squad seemed to have a little advantage standing in the far back left corner of the box and hitting the plates left to right instead of shooting down the middle...msshooter wrote:jdphotoguy wrote:Thanks to Gale for the deceptively hard stage on the Back 40.

All I know is I'm glad I'm shooting a high-cap. All my five shot strings seem to take seven or eight shots for some reason.
Thanks to everyone on the Stupor Squad for keeping me entertained all day and for letting me shoot through on the last stage so I could make my meeting.
