Mossberg Maverick ??

What do you think of the 12 Ga Maverick?? .....Any experience with one?
I've been thinking of getting one to do a little hunting...I'll use it for small game, and might use it to "slug hunt" in some of those "slug only" areas. I won't be using it a great deal...

I have one and works fine for me and what little bit I use shotguns. Most of the parts are fully compatible with the Mossberg 500 so it's easy to get replacement parts and barrels. For the price, I'm happy with it. Check pawnshops, I've seen a few of them in good shape recently around.

Going with your stated purpose and use, it should meet your needs. I have shot a couple without problem.

I'd take my Mav over my 870 and 500 anyday.......I have beat the hell out of it and shot every kinda load including Magnum 00 out of it. She has yet to refuse to put in work and for $200 or less you will not find a better Long Gun around.. What it lacks in beauty it makes up for in function brother do not ever doubt the Maverick..After a few hundred round she will be as smooth as a $500 870P I know cause I have both.........buy it...

I love my Maverick. $158 + tax. 28" barrel cut down and crowned to 20" (since a lot of LEO don't know how to measure).
