NOT AGAIN!! Plate Rack - Magnolia R&PC

Post by captain-03 on Mon Nov 07, 2011 4:22 pm

Was at the range this morning around 7AM and this is what I found on the West 25 Range .... Some ******** did it again!! Shot 4 of the 6 plates with a .223. The best I can determine it was done late yesterday afternoon. I was at the range yesterday afternoon and the rack was in good shape when I left (several folks using it WITH pistols).

BAN ALL RIFLES FROM THE WEST 25!!

Thanks you stupid jerks! bravo The VANDAL needs to be kicked out if we catch him.

I agree about rifles on the 25 as nothing good ever comes from it.

I say ban them all! See legal disclaimer below.

Except class 3 stuff and because we would never shoot the rack and cannot go anywhere else...Please

Boy does that piss me off. I really love using the plate rack for practice.

Might be time to lock it down and if you want to use it you have to pay extra, say $25 a year and that gives you the combination to unlock the plates.

Starting to seem someone is intentionally damaging the plates. Why only one hole in each plate? Why didnt they burn em up? So they shoot at em, shoot one hole in each plate and thats it. Seems intentional.

I'd say more than likely, they were not a good enough shot to put two on it before the plate fell...

Just what is the thrill in hitting a 9 inch plate at 25 with a rifle anyway...But you got dumb asses wherever you go...

You'll see a lot of em voting tomorrow as well...

No way it's ignorance this time. I painted

PISTOL ONLY

on both sides of both legs of the plate rack when Mr. High Brass fixed it last time. Plus there are all of those signs at the shooting tables! Whoever did this was purposefully vandalizing.
Mad
At least it lasted longer than a week this time... wall bash

No rifles on the West-25............ Nice idea, but you guys must put yourself in the position of most of the "plinking" members that don't use the plate rack. That rule will restrict them.

Locking the plate rack....... This will take major mods to the rack and extra work to issue keys. Plus, what about the folks that forget to lock the rack when finished?

I still suggest we start with a BIG sign that says NO CENTERFIRE RIFLES that is placed right in front of the rack. That should help stop the people that just don't know the power of their CF rifles. If the sign doesn't help, then we move on to something else.....

Thanks John H. for getting the plate rack repaired. PLEASE do it as soon as you can.

We don't make the plates available to members without supervision. We have 4 sets of plates and we need them for our NRA Action Pistol Matches.
