VMRS Match (Vintage Military Rifle Silhouette)
Out to and beyond a half mile with windy conditions. Tough day, but lots of fun.

Re: VMRS Match (Vintage Military Rifle Silhouette)
I hit two of ten at 880 with my M-96 and two with my M-39 in the flavor of the month "special match". We use hand held radios set up behind the targets to provide audible confirmation of a hit. It's usually easy to see misses in the sandy, dusty, dry dirt of the berms we have, but hits aren't always visible at that distance.
Yeah, he probably thought he was 'gonna have a great day and then averaged 3.6 hits on target over the other six positions. Not saying that's a bad score considering the conditions, just saying he started off great. I shot a perfect zero on the 960 stage with both rifles. That's twenty shots benched and bagged. Not one of my better days...
Wish you could shoot a couple of our vintage matches SGF. I'm not anywhere as good as you are but I do have fun.

It's a challenge, but a makeable shot. We had one guy hit 9 of 10 at 880 and then couldn't hit anything the rest of the day. Go figure...
He must've got to thinkin' it was easy.
