$319 at Sinclair for Satorious
The RCBS Chargemaster is $329
Thanks for the 411 on the omega 2
in general terms....I feel most electronic scales ($100 and down) on the market are P.O.S'es...i've had several and they have all been found lacking...
My RCBS 10-10 has been rock solid
I can't use a scale i can't trust without constant calibration
I'm glad its working out for ya'll and i hope it stays that way for ya...
my 750 RCBS is so so...and its the very same scale as what is in the chargemaster...less the automation bells and whistles
I think if you combined a nice Harrell Powder Measure with that Satorious (sorta lab grade) scale then I would have the consistency I'm looking for.
I aint counting 4 sticks of Varget coming out of a trickle charger...I got better things to do with my life
just my 2 cents

The following site has the Sartorious scale (AY-123) for $270 (http://balance.balances.com/scales/1955).

Re: Powder Scale and Dispenser Combo
Do you guys weigh every charge? Or is this for some specific reason. I didn't think I have a problem with my RCBS balance beams until now. And once I work up the charge I only check about every 5 at first then about every 10 throws. My Uniflow that is about 30 years old has not failed me yet.....that is that I know of. Y'all got me guessing.

Scott,
There are some folks that weight everything, bullets, brass, powder and even primers. There are folks that crank out rounds on a Dillon. Most folks that lean toward precision shooting lean more toward the first way than the second.
At a minimum, I weigh each powder load. But, I do it on a Chargemaster 1500 (not gonna rehash that one, except the 750 and 1500 are entirely different scales). Balance beams are too slow to me, but others love them. Bottom line is all about consistency. If the method you use gets the results you want, don't change. If your groups are not as tight as you want, try weighing each load. Other things that impact accuracy is neck tension, bullet seating and throat erosion.
Good shooting.

Thanks that does explain some. I know with my rifle rounds I am more diligent checking every charge. But I have to admit (and maybe it's just luck) but when I check my charges there has never been a deviation that to me seemed appreciable. I have an older digital don't know the name right now, but when I am working up the charge I will check with both the digital and the balance beam scales. I mainly was wondering if I was doing something wrong.
