Rethreading a barrel

Rethreading a barrel
So this weekend I was finally able to get the silver soldered flash hider off my daewoo, but found that the barrel threads are messy and still has some solder on it, so it needs rethreading. Was just going to order a kit online to do it myself. Any tips for getting this done?

Sounds like you just need to run a die over the existing threads to clean them up. Where are you located? i may have the die you need.

I've made thread chasers from nuts before......for industrial applications.
If you want to try it on a gun do so at your own risk.
Get a nut the same size as your barrel threads - preferably a higher grade like grade 8 or 9. Use a Dremel tool or die grinder to cut round slots into the threads going through the nut (it'll end up looking something like a die, with relief cuts for the spoil to come out). You can do the same thing with a file, it just takes longer.
