Does the DPS in Jackson have a set time that you can get the IC Sticker?

Went thru the course with Clyde Morgan this weekend, but does anyone know if the DPS in Jackson only hands out the sticker at certain days of the week/time?? I would like to go up there first thing in the morning, but can't find anything on thier site about days/times?

I would expect it to only do that when it conducts other firearms business.

Regular hours Monday through Friday, but they said they didn't like to do them on Friday.

They did mine on a Friday. A lady saw me in the hall reading the schedule and asked "could I help you?" She didn't say much else, but I was grateful not to make another trip there.

Did mine on the day they do new applications. Think wednesday?

I am lost.. what is the IC sticker i keep hearing about? I must have been away that day..

It's generally refered to as the "Instructor Certified" sticker. It's what DPS puts on the back of your permit to show that you have attended an approved safety course for enhanced carry.

Yep.. Went in today and got mine. In and out in about 10 minutes even with the copier malfunction and printing a new permit.

Just an FYI.. I talked with the DPS about getting qualified to teach the class.. He said the best way to get qualfied was to go through an NRA class.. There is going to be one here in Jackson in January.. If anyone is intersted PM me and I will give you the details.
