10mm glock kaboom
Just some food for thought if anyone shoots this gun/ammo combo...

I only read the first page, but it seems that the Double Tap ammo may be a little hot.

Having read the story, that was just a dumba** stunt if you ask me.
He KNEW that his brass were bulging with that barrel in the gun.
Dummy......

My Smith 1066 eats full power rounds like candy. Many Glocks above 9mm have had problems stemming from unsupported chambers.

Re: 10mm glock kaboom
I may be wrong, but I believe I've read that the 45acp has a supported chamber. I know their barrels are different than any of the other Glock barrels, at least as far as the rifling goes. Never seen an account of a .45 kaboom, but there might have been some that I didn't hear about.
I have the utmost confidence in my 9s, though.
Just took a look at my 45cal Glock and it doesn't have a fully supported chamber, either. Neither does my Glock 26. Neither look quite as loose as a that one, but there is a little half moon shaped void right above the feed ramp on both. Don't think the 9mm has enough pressure to be a concern and don't really know enough about the 45acp to comment. I only use factory loads, so I should be OK.

Chamber support!
Earlier generations of factory barrels were loose chambers, more recent generations are a bit tighter...
However, to shoot true 10 mm power a FULLY supported aftermarket barrel and recoil spring are REALLY GOOD IDEAS!

And Glock is the ONLY major manufacturer who still makes firearms chambered in the 10mm.

I would consider Kimber to be major, not near as big as Glock but still pretty mainstream.

Also, there is the Colt Delta Elite still available I believe...?

Re: 10mm glock kaboom
that is why I run a LWD barrel in mine. Fully-Supported because i know it is needed with a 10mm. I vote for ammo being the problem like many others from that thread. Plus, if I noticed a problem before with "bulging" brass, I wouldn't be doing dumb stuff like this person did. JMO.
