worth a durn? found one that seems like a good price and thinking bout getting. it is the long mag with wood stock and looks new.

want another 12ga to throw in the corner. wont be shot a whole lot and i wont be modding it so not worried about aftermarket parts availability.

nahhh there a piece of junk I think you should tell me where it is and let me go get it so you don't have to worry about it anymore evil grin HEHEHE. But seriously I don't have any hands on experience with them but I've wanted one for years. Everything I've read about them says they're very well made. I think it would be very worth having especially for that price. I'd say grab it and enjoy man. Good luck.

I had a 1300 years ago and loved it. Wish I had kept it.

One of the better home defense shotguns out there in my opinion. I love my Remington 870 and Mossberg 590 but never underestimate a Winchester 1300.

I have one that I use for HD. My only comment is make sure the stock and trigger assy screws are tight or it can fail to lock the charging handle forward sometimes... at least mine would until we tightened them up.

I have a Winchester Ranger 120 (the cheapo version of the 1200/1300) that I picked up for $150 a few years ago. I can't say anything bad about it. I picked up another one in 20 gauge just a couple months ago, in fact.

I picked up a winchester 1200 police 12 gauge pump the other day.The gun is a tactical, but with wood stock and pump.while shooting it ,noticed that the pump would aoutmatically go back after a shot.further shootin I found it comes back almost all the way after firing but likes a little to chamber a round. Is this a piece of crap,or was it designed that way?..GETERDUN

The only downside is the screw that holds the pump arm mechanism to the bolt locking slide. They do break and are difficult to remove and replace. I prefer the Remington 870 12 ga and that is what is next to my bed.

I like my 870. My dad has the winchester and its got some history to it. I've had an ithica trench gun and i loved it. I am still on the look out for another one of them.
