Your Thoughts on Rifle Choice

I see that both Savage and Weatherby is chambering a rifle in 338 Lapua.. Which would be your choice and why?

Weatherby for me, but only because of prior experience with Weatherby rifles.

The only Savage anything that I've ever owned was actually the first gun I ever called my own... a bolt-action 410. I still have it, though it hasn't been fired in thirty-some-odd years.

Looked into the 338 edge? Be cheaper to shoot than the 338 LM.

I vote savage!

Only reason I was thinking 338 Lapua is bc I have had one several years ago and have a lot of brass for the lapua...

i think the savage as well, i have never been a weatherby fan.

I handled the savage in the sportsmans warehouse a few weeks ago. It was very nice indeed. Mean looking brake on it also.

I handled the savage at Van's I like it. Just you can load or buy 50BMG for the same price as the lapua.

I am going to wait and hold one of the Weatherby before I make up mind. I have this caliber and a 6.5x284 on my short list to get..

I'd go with a savage as well .
