What is a good group??

I just went to a gun range for the first time today.
I'm wondering what a good group is.
The first 2 mags I shot at this target was a 3" (inside the 10) group at 30 FT is that good or crappy?

Good group? That depends on what your using it for.. Glocks criteria is a group the size of a mans chest at 30feet. Personally looks like good shooting

I like my handguns to shoot under 2" at 25 yards from a sandbag.

It depends on you. For self defense ammo, I would want to be able to keep them all in the center of the chest or head. For competition, I'd like them more accurate.

From a standing position at 30ft? That would be a good group to me.

That's a good group.Especially for rapid fire at 30ft.
