Cub Scout - 4H -- What's a good 22?
I have been asked to do some research regarding what would be the best commercially available 22 for a 7-10 year old wanting to shoot Cub Scout or 4H. They shoot prone, sitting/kneeling, and standing. Of course weight and stock length are issues. Look for a bolt gun and magazine feed is OK. Good out of the box accuracy and a good trigger are sought.
The first thing that came to mind was the Savage TR series...
OK -- give use your opinions!!

I'll need to look it up....but I believe kids are not allowed to shoot 22's until they are 12 in 4H
age 7-10 are gonna be using pellet rifles
Savage Cub looks like a fine kids rifle to me

'Neck,
In 4-H, kids must be age 10 (at 00:01 on January 1st of current year) to shoot 22 rifles. 8-18 can shoot air rifle - COF dependent on ages. Kids must be 14 to shoot 22 pistol.
