22 and pellet rifles needed for 4H shooting program

I just recently completed the necessary training to be become a 4H rifle instructor (try not to laugh too hard)

I'm in the process of trying to round up several smaller sized 22 "beater" rifles and pellet guns to have for my kids to shoot come Jan-Fed when practice starts. In 22's - I'll take anything from a pink Cricket to a nice Savage bolt action...semi's, bolts, single shots...it don't matter....Pellet guns need to be .177 cal and will be used by 8 - 10 yr olds....

Only requirement I have is they do need to be in good working order with all their parts etc.

So look around in the closet and safe and if you have any left over's you'd consider selling or "lending" to us for the spring....shoot me a pm and let's talk

I've already had one very nice fella on the forum offer to loan us a 22

Also for you folks that are in Hinds Cty - I think there is gonna be another 4H signup Dec 12...

if you are interested in getting your kids involved...Hollar and I'll get you in touch with the 4H agent in Hinds.

I'll buy ya'll a pellet or BB gun. Tell me the spec's or what other models ya'll been shooting. Don't hurt me bad 'Neck, you know we just broke folks over here in Rankin.

I'm trying to get the "lay of de lan" right now.

How many pellet rifles we need will depend on ages of who signs up and their financial situation...I have no idea what we'll have...

just wanna have a few things for em to try before they go buy....wanna hit the ground running...

Of all things...I'm "light on" would be pellet guns, BB guns and 22's...

we gonna do our best to keep it safe and have fun
