Llama gets a makeover

Post by Caleb C on Tue Nov 22, 2011 7:22 am

These Llamas are not exactly known for their great looking finish. This one was half a dozen shades of stainless when we started on it. Now it's sporting a nice Duracoat OD Green finish.

You sure did. Most I've ever seen were half rusty and looked like a beater. That one actually looks nice.Smile

If I don't trade off this G36, I may be contacting you to get the slide recoated. It's not too bad, but it would look new with a fresh coat of black and I like for my guns to look clean. Been wondering what you guys charge for a slide job and how long it takes.

Maybe I should let you get a hold of my Llama 1911. I bought it back when I was in college because it was cheap. And it shows. Smile

I haven't sold it because nobody wants to buy it!

Looks you did a great job with the Duracoat though

I have to agree with it being hardly worth the time to coat a Llama (or Alpaca as we took to calling this one). It's what the customer wanted though, so he got it!
