Dancing w/ Stars winner was a Vet, who knew?

Wife and all the ladies she knows or is kin to watches Dancing w/ the Stars. Wife watched it while I minded my own business. Just saw a talk show and they said he was a wounded vet. I never knew. All I can say is
ATA WAY TO GO! Don't know his branch, just a vet like many of us here, scars seen and unseen.

He is an Army grunt and served in Iraq, an IED explosion burned him over 40% of his body and he lost his left ear and his face was mangled. For the last couple of years he has been an actor playing on ALL MY CHILDREN. He only brought his wounds up once that I saw, at the begining, and only after he was asked about it. I havent watched all the shows but a few sitting around because my wife watches it. He's a real humble guy.

Hell yeah, I never watched it but knew he was a Vet and was pulling for him. I wouldn't feel less manly or anything for watching it, BUT I COULD NOT WATCH THAT CHAZ THING OOZE AROUND ON A DANCE FLOOR!
