US Bayonet?
Can anyone tell me anything about this bayonet? I don't think it is really old, but wondering what years it was(is) in use, on which weapon(s), etc. Thanks.

Yep - it is for the M1 Garand. Made by American Fork and Hoe - Cleveland, Ohio (Plant at Ashtabula, Ohio) .. It was made between 1943 and 1945. AFH made approximately 1,100,000 bayos for 38% of the total bayonet production. Most of the ones made in '42 and '43 had 16" blades and were dated below the US. The majority of the 16" blades were later cutdown in and after 1943 to the standard 10" blade. The one you have was made with a 10" blade which they started doing in 1943.
It will also fit the M1903 Springfield. Current value with scabbard is about $65-$75.
