A Day With Levers, Pump & Full-Autos.....

Post by SubGunFan on Fri Nov 25, 2011 4:53 pm

Black Friday and my little sweet tush was going to be nowhere near a mall.... Smile So I planned a trip to the range to have FUN.

First thing to do was head to Mr. Clean's home to pick up some IMR 4227 and H-110 I bought from him. We chatted about the new steel target he bought and had setup. Should have taken some pics because that system looked GOOD. The traffic this morning was light. Guess all the nuts were in the malls.......

I had to be at the range by 10 AM to meet Gitschlag to take delivery of the Tula M-N 91/30 I bought from him. OOOH WEEE, a new gun.... Smile G wanted me to look at (go through) 2 Garands he picked up at a Tulsa gunshow. Captain came by and explained all the finer Garand details to G. All I can do is strip & shoot them.......... Smile

G also wanted to shoot some FAs. So.........................

I loaded him up.................. Smile

Here is a video of G going through 150rds QUICKLY........... Smile Half of what he shot today. And yes, he had a BIG smile on his face.

Oh yeah, Thanks G for picking up the brass. I understand you had to fight some of the "Brass Chickens" for that brass...... Smile

After G left, I got back to my levers and pump...................

L to R: Marlin 1895 in 45-70, Taraus Thunderbolt (T-Bolt) in 45 Colt, and Puma 92 in 45 Colt.

Old School and New School.......................... Smile

My "older" Marlin 1895. Actually bought this baby at a Jackson Gunshow at a good price a few years ago. With medium loads, this gun is just plain FUN to shoot. It felt good to bring her out again today....... Smile

Lucky man...I WAS at a mall today...but it wasn't my choice, need my paycheck. I would have much rather been spending money (burning ammo) than making it.

Oh yeah, Grant's got that ear-to-ear full auto grin. thumbs up

Pretty lever-guns.

I should have called you when I was in Jackson picking up that rifle Wednesday. That looks like a great time! I really like the wood on your 1895.

Looks like great fun! Full-Autos shooting, a dream of every shooter over here but no chance if you aren´t with the Army Reserve.

Thanks Ulrich. Even though there are heavy restrictions on FAs here in the US, at least we can own them (for the price).

Ah, OK thought it would be a bit easier than here. Is the MAC-10 a 9mm version?

No, it is 45acp (God's caliber.... Smile ). The upper is a Lage upper that turns a MAC into a MAX.
