Cobra .38 darrenger block saftey help

OK as the headline states i need help with the hammer block safety
on a .38 special cobra darrenger this is the g/f's so its really bothering me
for her to carry in a truck on half cock an no safety.

I know this is a single action pistol but with the hammer all the way up
the firing pin rubs the primer of the chambered round.

The safety is so hard to push that you literally have to hit it
with an object of choice to slide it

any one dealt with any of these? all help needed PLEASE!!!!!

My suggestion is take it to a gunsmith. The weapon will need to be disassembled to find out whats wrong.
