Range Times/Rules...
I've noticed that quite a few of y'all are members of shooting ranges/clubs and I have a question or two.
Do y'all have times that it's open for shooting?
Do the times change between the seasons... like when the sun sets earlier?
Do any of y'all have a digital copy of your club's rules that you can email to me?
The local FD, here, opened one and for a while it was come and go as you please. No time limits or anything. Well, the same old battleaxe that complains about everything, complained about the noise from the range. Even though the range is between 1/2 and 3/4 of a mile away, through the woods.
She even went as far as calling the board members, at midnight, to complain about previous day events. She's called the sheriff's department a few times to complain too.
Anyways, the FD board members had a meeting about it and decided to limit range time from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m on Saturday and 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday - Friday. Not many people use the range but this has put a serious hurting on my after work shooting that I do during the spring/summer.

Google Starkville Gun Club. I think the rules are posted on the site. As far as I know, members have a key to the gate.

Although the website hasn't been updated in a while, Magnolia Rifle and Pistol Club in Byram's rules are here: http://www.magnoliarpc.com/info1.htm

Man what a disappointment that must be. Magnolias is 7am-sunset. I can understand those hours. I would not want to listen to shooting earlier than 7 and certainly don't see a need to shoot after dark in most cases but 2-430pm is a bit extreme. But I guess if its their party you dance when they say dance or don't dance at all...

I shoot at Starkville Gun Club. You'd be welcome to join us some time to check it out.
