Poplarville USPSA followed by a Rifle Match this Sunday....Right?

Post by chbrow10 on Sun Dec 04, 2011 11:06 pm

The schedule says that we are having a USPSA match in Poplarville followed by a rifle match this Sunday, Dec 11th. We are coming and bringing some new folks. We may be looking to borrow an AR, if anyone has one to loan.

Thanks, Chris

That's my name, its not official or anything. It will USPSA style shooting with a rifle. I think the scoring is "time plus", but I am not sure. Bring your rifle and find out!!

In the past they have made use of some "non-standard" targets like balloons with hats on and that sort of thing. It will be fun but it may not completely follow a specific rule book is what he's getting at.

I'm think of heading down, so other then Will, who else from Magnolia's regulars will be there?

What time is setup, saw something about 9AM is that correct?

Don't have an AR, but do have a 9MM carbine of sorts, will that work for the rifle part or will the targets just be to far out for that little slow moving 9MM to get there?

Guess I better get to the range and sight in the rifle, never been shoot.

Works for me and I'm willing to drive. I'll be coming from Brandon, just up the road from Justin, so any place we should meet up?

BTW, not sure if I'll shoot in the rifle match (may not have time to sight in the Trijicon on the CX4 Storm 92 Series), but more then willing too hang out and watch if anyone in the group plans to shoot it.

Some interesting stages at today's shoot. Had loads of fun even though I'm beginning to hate cold weather.

Love to come back and shoot a stage in the gully, a stage designers dream what with all the natural twists and turns.

Thanks to the folks that setup todays match.

Cold, Windy, Overcast, but Fun match.

What a fun time yesterday. We stayed for the rifle match and had a blast with that too. Brandon did good with the skinny gun, anyone who can hang with Bryant W (in any division) is doing well. Nick was doing his usual sandbagging. Congrats on winning C. I'm coming for you next month, Nick.

I'd be interested in hearing any complaints or confusion regarding the stage on the hill (three metric plus a plate x 3), including the WSB. That was my stage and I want feedback on how do do better.

Chris

Thanks Chris - stage 4 really killed me - when I lost 60+ stage points on 1 stage and lost SS HOA by 13 match points - that will do it to you.

Had a blast - next time use that gully - it just looks fun :-D

How did Carter like his new gun?

I loved that stage, it was my favorite and winning the stage had no influence on my love for it. lol

Seriously, I have no complaints with the stage, it was fun, got the heart pumping and the run warmed you up on a cold day.

Carter still had a big grin when asked about his CZ.

Congrats on your stage win JD!!! big thumb up

Stage4 was great, maybe one more aray of the same and I could have got around JD by a couple of tenths Cool

Carter let me touch his new gun and dry fire it a couple times, I finally had to walk away because I was starting to get ideas that cost lots of money.... maybe I should shoot my XD Tactical for one more year.

I was really surprised to see I had won that stage. The Gods must have been shining down on me, I know they sure weren't shining on me at the classifier.

Congrats on your win Mike. Cliff better keep looking over his shoulder, because I see you and Justin closing in.
