I would go with the Winchester if you want to reload the brass. The German made, Pakisanti made, and RadwayGreen are all berdan primed. The German and Radway shoot well (at least at 200 yards) and go bang each time.

Also, CMP does not have any .308 for sale. Only .30-06, .30 Carbine, and 6.5 Swedish.

I saw USA Ammo has new .308's starting around .50 per shot. Reloadable.

Just buy ya some Berger bullets and Lapua Brass and work ya up a good load and load a pile of em

Have not bought a 308 round in years...

You could a buy a bunch of M118's...i'd rather roll my own

Did you get that DSA FAL STG you wanted? Let me know if you're purchasing 308 ammo. I will need some and I'd prefer to buy in bulk and spit the Hazmat fees/shipping. I too wanted a DSA but a well known Arizona gunsmith who specialized in FAL mentioned a while back that DSA was selling used FAL parts as new. I know, pretty strong but I'd done business with that ex-marine and felt him to be on the up and up. I got an M1A instead.

and lets's not forget the whole can I shoot cheap mil-spec 7.62x51 in my 308 or 308 in my 7.62x51 marked rifle Smile

SGF i to feel like the market is about to get flooded with new Mil surp. but i gotta feed me gun something otherwise she gonna starve! lol i wish i was connected enough i could buy one of those 25cubic foot bags straight from the DoD..
