Bushmaster carbon 15 .223
I would like to here some feedback + and - on the Busmaster carbon 15 in .223. I got a chance to pick one up for a good price. I have had experience with the AR's in the Army but have not heard too much on this carbon model. I have heard that Bushmaster does make a fine weapon.

Did you end up getting one? I remember another post awhile back, where some people had weighed in on where to find one locally and the prices, but I can't find it now.
I looked at one over the weekend, and I liked how it felt, but I have very little experience with rifles.

I did not get one. I posted this question and did not get one answer. That told me to back away. Decided to build a DPMS not a serious AR guy just time to own one. The DPMS should do me fine.

I have a DPMS. It's a good gun if you don't mind not being able to get better than about a 10" group at 100yds. As far as reliability is concerned though its been an awesome gun

It seems to be getting mixed reviews from what I've seen. I've decided to own an AR, and can't quite pin down what I want. It'll be used for plinking and maybe the occasional 3 gun match. I like the look and feel of the bushmaster carbon, but I also like the idea of building one. For just a little more, I can get a spike's tactical with a lifetime warranty, versus bushmaster's one year warranty. That seems important to me, because I doubt shooting it enough in a year to break it in good, much less break it. It seems like there are so many ARs out there though, that as long as you stick to a known brand or known distributor, you really can't go too wrong.

I've owned Bushmaster's, DPMS, Spikes, Rock River, and few more AR's built out of random parts. They all shot fine and suited my needs. However if I had to pick just one I would say my all time favorite was the Spike's carbine with the 16" lightweight upper. That was my go to gun. Nothing against the others but thats just the one I liked. Honestly though you cant go wrong with any of them.
