6.8 SPC
Has anyone had any experience shooting this cartridge? If so I would like to know your impressions.
I am thinking about getting a contender barrel chambered in this caliber. Looking at its size and specs, I think it would be a good handgun caliber. Not too big to be uncomfortable to shoot for fun but big enough to do the job on deer.
Would love to have a AR in this, but until the ammo is accepted by the military, it will likely never be as available or cheap as it would need to be for volume blasting.

That says it all. Unless a Country, major LEO, etc. takes it on, it will high as a cat's behind.

Re: 6.8 SPC
I bought three more boxes at the gun show and it was high as a cats behind.
$23/box
My contender barrel is on the way. Yippie! I have some Rem match, Horn match, and Horn Vmax. to try out.
I reload almost everything I shoot, but on this one I decided to just buy the ammunition to start with rather than components. I figured up it would cost me .81 (before shipping and not including my time and effort) to load a new round and I could buy the loaded round for about $1 ea.
So I'll have about 120 casing to work with. Should be enough for a single shot pistol.
