444 marlin questions! help

I purchased a used 444 marlin last year for the last few weeks of season. As I am a new first time dad since Oct 3, I have little time for my much needed time on the shooting range. So my question is what's the maximum distance for a leathal shot on a deer. It came with a scope designed to measure drop so I really need to get out there and experiment but as I said I dont have time to test it. So if you know anything about drop at say 150 that would be of much help! god bless

Not sure one drop but I have taken a doe at 150+- a few yards with the hornady ammo and it dropped. Aimed a little higher than normal.

Hornady box says

100# +3"
200# -1.4"
3/0# -18.6

If your 0 at 100 the drop is around 4 inches at 200 then it drops pretty significantly after that, but nowhere near as bad as the 45-70. which is 27 inches at 300. I can hit the 300 meter gongs at Magnolia but you have to put the fat part of the recticle on the gong with my scope. I just sold my 45-70 today at the gun show and have already replaced it with a 35 whelen.
