Had to send my Dillon Square Deal to the Factory

Post by Doug Bowser on Mon Dec 12, 2011 4:33 am

Trashy thing quit dropping powder charges reliably and started flipping primers in the priming cup. I have only had the Square Deal since 1983. I have probably loaded close to 200,000 rounds of ammo on it. The man at Dillon said, send it to us, we will rebuild it to new condition and ship it back. No charge. A no bull guarantee for sure.

Sounds like it was just getting broke in Mr. Doug, only 200,000 rounds I wonder what happened?

dillon and RCBS is top notch in my book. when i bought my dillon i was missing one of the parts kits and they overnighted them to me.

Bought a RCBS comp powder thrower. it was missing two internal parts and they did the same thing.

I just had to do the same with my lee loadmaster. I spoke to John Lee directly and he said send it up to them and they will make it smooth as butter. So I figure the $20 to ship it is worth whatever they will do to it. Mine was also flipping and crushing primers, the few primer detonations I had weren't fun. He said they would even hook me up with brass or something to make up for the lost primers. I've loaded only about 20k through this one before I started having these issues tho.

I had a broken part on my Dillon, the spent primer catcher/roller assy broke out around the mount holes. I took a pic of it and emailed them and they sent me a new redesigned one with a more beefy attachment point in a week, free of charge.

hmmmm...
My Dillion SD flips primers if I use Tula, but mostly does fine on all the others. I don't think I will send it in just yet. Otherwise it works great and I am just very careful about the primers.

The arm that turns the turret is out of time. They can send the parts you need. Mine was showing signs of wear and not dropping powder charges correctly. I have had it since 1984.
