Ruger SR40 OR SR9

Post by g2072 on Mon Dec 12, 2011 6:02 pm

Anybody got one or shot one. I'm thinking about this gun for my new everyday carry in .40. It has a thumb safety and is slimmer than what I'm carrying now. Anybody want to offer any reviews.

Have the SR9c...... great carry gun..... good shooter too..... only thing I could possibly say about it negative is that the white dots on the sights are a little small, and rear sight is a little narrow, of course, so is the frame.... thought about the 40, but was concerned about that sharp biting recoil in such a small light gun....but I'd like to shoot one to see.....

9 just for cost of shooting.............Good defensive round and a hell of a lot cheaper than 40. I just got rid of my last 40 switching to all 45 and 9. Love the lil 40 but dang it's as expensive as 45.

I'm kinda backwards here, I got the sr9c, and while I love it, I can't help but to wish I had the .40 now. I don't think the .40 was out when I got mine, but if I had to do it again, I'd probably go with the .40. That's partially based on the fact that I don't get to shoot as much as I used to nowadays, so ammo cost isn't so much of a factor.

I also have a SR9C. Great gun. I have been looking for a SR40C, but I haven't seen very many around yet or at a fair price.

I have the SR9c and the SR40. Both are easy to shoot well and seem to be very reliable.
