How about a gun-share thread

Post by 9c4me on Mon Dec 12, 2011 8:17 pm

At the last meet & greet it was great to check out and even shoot other people's guns that I was interested in. Maybe we can do that more often by posting here if anyone nearby has a particular gun you might be thinking about buying. For instance now I'd like to check out a Kahr PM9 or CM9, and an M&P9c if anyone that frequents MRPC has one. Likewise if anyone ever wanted to check out any of mine, get my opinions and shoot them I'd be more than happy to bring them to the range and meet up sometime. Going to the gun show or store to look at a gun you might be considering buying doesn't compare to getting first-hand info from somebody that already owns one.

I don't have much, but I am a member of the range in Pass and have a Springfield XD .40 Service and a S&W 642-2. I can bring you as a guest, you supply the ammo and you are more than welcome to wear them out. I am looking into a new carry gun, be interested to try some pocket sized .40s, Ruger LCP, and the like.

I really don't have much but Glocks to shoot and a couple of weathersbys, FN PBR in .308, and some AR's. You're all welcome to try them out. I want to try a STI Spartan .45 and the CZ that Cliff uses for competition.

I've never shot a .45 pistol and would really like to shoot a normal and compact size 1911. I've always wanted one but want to shoot one before buying.

Nice idea and anyone I meet, both here and on the street is more than welcome to check out my guns. Unfortunately, they're limited to Glocks and a Keltek, mostly in 9mm, but they're all fun to shoot. Buy yourself a box of 9mm ammo and come up to Turcotte any time I'm going. Heck, wouldn't take much to convince me to go, even if I hadn't planned to and you're always welcome to tag along.Smile

Recommendation - Don't shoot Cliff's CZ unless you wanna buy one and get it tricked out like He has..its one of a kind....Hell I luv to dry fire that thing

Sounds like we need some local meet and greet more often

Don't own a Kahr or a M&P pistol so can't help in that dept.

g2072 I don't have a 1911 but I have an M&P 45sub-compact you're more than welcome to unload all the brass you want out of any time. I try to make it out to the range about every other weekend for 22f practice but I can bring it along with me any time you get ready. shoot me a pm and we will set something up if you're interested. For anyone else who's interested in anything I've got just shoot me a pm and we will work something out I've got a savage 111 .270win with a Timney drop in adjustable trigger set at about 2lbs. a .357 handi-rifle, savage 93R17 .17hmr, 1022 22lr., BHP digi-camo, ruger sp101 327fed rem870 20Ga. 11-87 syn. 12Ga. Rem single shot .410 and as first mentioned S&W M&P sub-comp. 45acp.

I wouldn't mind checking out that KelTec AND Turcotte, never been there.

That sounds like a great idea! Even if a smaller, informal get-together once in a while just to shoot and talk.

Not a bad idea there 9c4me! I wanted to shoot a M&Pc as well (9 or 45), an LC9 or Keltec Pf9, and would love to shoot an AR10, but that would be more fun than research.

I don't have much to offer yet...just a production Glock 34 with a light trigger, a walther P22, and the usual .308 ruger, Moss. 500 duck gun, and a 10/22. If anyone is interested, shoot me a PM.

Might need to make a sticky for this? I have several that anyone is welcome to come and shoot. Bring the factory ammo, and have at it.

Agreed, you can shoot any of mine but no reloads. I'm just beginning to trust my own much less anyone else's reloads.

How about those oddball months with 5 weekends when there are no matches at the range the last weekend?

This worked out great a member will be at the range today with his Kahr, now if I can just sneak away from work!...fire!
