2012 SCHEDULES AND SUGGESTION

Have the spring 2012 schedules for MRPC and SWGC been figured out and posted? Can we put them at the top?

Also, may I suggest that "Vintage Rifle/M1 Garand" be changed to "High Power Rifle/Vintage Rifle/M1 Garand," or just "High Power Rifle/Vintage Rifle"? I think that would cover it better, especially if we are going to start doing more NRA and CMP-sanctioned events.

The Vintage Rifle and M1 Garand matches are going to be CMP course of fire / rules, not the same as NRA HP rifle matches. See schedule / newsletter for course of fire for each. Let me know if you're not on Doug's list and I will send you an email with both 2012 Jan. - June schedule and the SWGC annual newsletter.

Magnolia's will not be issued until March .. the current schedule goes through Febraury 2012.

I did check with Magnolia before I scheduled. I think we need to use the terms at least close to the terms used by CMP in the title of the Matches.

Bolt Action Vintage Military Match

The description of the Vintage match would be confusing the way the CMP lists it. They liast it as Vintage Military Match. A shooter of semi-auto military rifles might think it would include their rifle in the match.

Good idea Doug. We do need to specify in the title that it is a bolt action rifle match.

The schedule for Magnolia has to be approved by the Board of Directors after the annual BOD Meeting in Feb. I have a schedule submitted, but there may be changes made to it if there is a conflict with another match at the range.
