Microvault nano vault

Post by Joe S. on Thu Dec 15, 2011 7:22 pm

Gunvault nanovault

The other day i screwed up and locked my key in my gunvault microvault. Right after getting it a year or so ago the keypad got damaged so ive been using it strictly as a keyed open and close. Quite inconvenient if you ask me because the key was in a bad spot. Well the other day i had to break into it and bent it all up. I will say it is no easy task to get into and it took two crowbars to  get it apart.

Not wanting to spend another $100 plus on a lockbox i started looking and found the nano vault. Hollered at my bud calebc at bunkerhill and gor him to order me a couple. Sure i coulda saved $5 by ordering them online but that doesnt support our local guys. Besides caleb and that bunch are great guys and i wanna support them any chance i can. Well they came in today and i must say they are saweet. Little smaller than i was hoping for but they are called "nano". Lol. All in all im stoked. Easy access to the key slot right on top. And it doesnt latch automatically should i drop my keys into it and bump it shut. :-[

thanks caleb. Yall give these guys a shout. You wont be disappointed.

I have a nano in each vehicle. Great piece of mind.

I agree. I hate not having a lockbox in my vehicles. Thats why i ordered a pair this time. Now I dont have to constantly move from one vehicle to another

A very worthwhile investment if you carry a gun in your vehicle. Have it within reach while youre in the car an lock it down when you get where you are going.

Is it considered secure for airline travel (think they made some changes in what you could use for your checked baggage but not sure)? Sharp little box. Both kids have kids and they and their spouses carry firearms. I also try to help the local retailers whenever I can even if it is a few percent more.

We went to Lone Star for dinner and Son and DIL were going through BPS waiting on us. I told him you worked there. He asked around but I guess it was a well deserved night off for you.
And by the way, on wanting another one, I talked to Santa and told him to drop one or two off at your house so check under that tree!

Could you post a picture with a larger weapon, say a 1911?

Thanks!

Measurements for the box are listed at 10x7x2. Don't know if that helps. We can have them shipped directly to you.

This is what I used to check my PPS to and from Phoenix this past spring. I even used the cable to secure the vault to the frame of my suitcase.

price is the same shipped either way. Better to just ship it to you!
