Yes. I shot some today. Wow, that's different, in a good way!

JohnHeiter wrote:By the way, good looking gun Jimmy. I like the idea of going with something "out of the norm" like a Glock Open gun. No reason why it wouldn't be competitive and it's got to be fun to be a little different anyway. I do have a bunch of technical questions now though.
I mean how does your wife get her towels so white like that? Does she wash only in cold water, was there bleach involved, what?
I love out of the norm! I always like to be different, that's just the way I am. And yes John she does use bleach but it's with hot water. Now you too can have eye blistering white towels!!! You don't have to support Billy Mays, just Clorox!!!

I'm sure its because no one wants to add any mass to their slide. Limited/Open shooters spend a lot of money and time trying to get the slide mass down for faster cycling times, and adding an optic would be counter productive. Plus, if a gun is running reliably, adding mass to the slide could change that.
I have been contemplating waterjetting the top with a cool design to cut some weight. I drew up some designs on Autocad and have already talked to the waterjet guy. He said just bring it to him and we would work it out! Just don't know just yet how much "work it out" is gonna cost me though! Kinda goes back to what JD said earlier about the cost of an open glock not being in the thousands. Yeah right! Add holster, mags, different bullets and powder and you start getting into thousands. Trust me!

Not sure, the first day right after I put it up I was standing at the end of the porch and a woman drove by slowly with her hand over her mouth like Ohhhhh my! But I don't know if anyone else has stopped. I should have put up a hidden camera.

Gametracker type camera would have been good. You probably would get some hilarious shots. Leave it to John to make me spew coffee everywhere this morning when I was reading this thread.....
