I suppose this will keep me busy for a day or two...

Post by nothing on Fri Dec 16, 2011 11:17 pm

I want to get all my reloading done for the year before it gets hot. It's no fun in 100+ degree weather.

Nice looking setup. Looks like you got factory projectiles. What model is that Lee press? What are you going to load and what powder is that? Like I said, nice reloading station.

Thanks,

It's a Hornady Lock N Load AP press. I'll be loading a couple of different loads with precision delta bullets:

147gr FMJ-TC
3.4gr Titegroup
1.140 OAL

124gr FMJ
4.1gr Titegroup
1.140 OAL

Both loads make about a 134 PF in my XD. I still need to chrono them through my Shadow to make sure they still make PF before I get started. I figure about 10,000 9mm rounds will last me until next year with some room to breath. I already have my .45 loaded up and I'm down a half a case of .40 left to load. I don't keep nearly as much .40 and .45 on hand since I shoot those so much less. Usually I only keep 2k each and still have plenty left at the end of the year.

BTW, I'm pretty sure my mail-man hates me now. It took 2 days to get all 5 cases.

Was thinking the same thing about those 11 boxes?

Don't believe I would have the patience to load that many ..... a few hundred at a time for me ... usually!! Of course, I do not shoot as many as do you in a year .....

Simple and efficient setup. Those lock-n-loads are sweet! I gotta get mine back up and running. It has been idle for a while...

I'm sure thinking about getting one or building a poor-mans version.
