Added a link and price for the ND3 SubZero model as well above. 285.00 for it. Have had several asking about them.

On a side note, what is a decent caliber to hunt hogs, would a .22LR work?

I have killed 3 at 125yds. with smaller caliber rifles, 1 with a .17HMR and the other 2 with a suppressed .223. All head shots behind the ear and all dropped like a rag........ask Steve he has been witness for a few kills.

I have shot a lot of these and they work very well I like them better than the nightvision scopes I have had only thing the mounts are kinda Micky mouse and I usually make my own but other than that they are great out to around 300 yards hogs can not see the beam of light are if they can it does not scare them get the 500 yard model not sure of product number but the cheaper one is ok out to 100 yards are so

I got one some time back.... I posted about it on here when it came to pieces after only 4 shots on an AR in 5.56.... mstrophyhunter is correct as well, mounts are junk, mine were slightly out of round, and bolt holes in halves didn't line up... I returned the bad one, they sent me a new one, so it cost me S&H.... I still have the new replacement one in the box, haven't even broken the seal on the box to see if the mounts are correct.... price has dropped so much now, that I don't want to eat the loss.... may try it again, maybe on AR in 6.8spc....or more likely a 22LR due to my doubts....

thinking

OR, maybe instead, I'll mount on the 7mm UltraMag and see if it can take it!!!!!!

I have the ND-3 on my 300rsaum and love it , it's a hog or yotes worst nightmare out to 300yds, i have it mounted on top of my 3-12x 50 Konus pro scope with red lighted reticle.

can you see the beam all the way out to the target (like you can a green laser) or is it more like a flashlight, lighting up the target only

Although I haven't killed anything with it yet.... I can say that I have watched rabbit, deer, a HUGE fox and one "night squirrel" (long story) and was very pleased with it. Easy to adjust. The only time the light seemed to 'bother' any animals was when they were up close and I dialed it in more of a spot than flood. Guess the intensity made em a bit weary then. OTher than that one time, they would look once in a while but that was about it. Happy so far!

It freaked my dog out when I did a very tight beam directly on the ground in front of him, but if the beam was a bit more spread out it did not bother him, but it sure was fun chasing him around the yard with that tight beam, yes, I do have a tiny evil streak.

I got one a few years back and haven't seen it in over a year...maybe two. The mounts are s**t, i mean total crap. I like the idea of not having to dedicate a rifle to NV. But, IMHO, this is a great idea that just doesn't yet live up to expectations.

If you have it turned up enough to work on a yote at 200 yds, he'll never look at you again. My experience on several occasions doing predator control work on my little farm. Hogs, deer, foxes and other critters it works great on. There's some pretty decent 1st gen NV out there for another $200 bucks.

If your main use will be 'yote control, don't waste your money. You can do just as well with a Lightforce light with a much longer effective killing range. Same money, much better product. lightforce170

On the battery pack, it has a 3 position rocker switch with a rheostat. You can turn the light power down for sweeping/searching for eyes, then when you're ready to shoot...roll the rocker switch over to full power. It works a treat, you can focus the beam from spot to flood like a mag light. It'll burn the hair off of you, at 1/4 mile, no filter fitted and on spot, you can count the leaves on a branch through your scope. It comes with a QD scope mount and shotgun bbl mount and a bow mount, so it's easy to shift it around on your weapons of choice.
