This hunt happened before I had a digital camera or was even involved in forums or the internet to any extent. Me and my friend who helped me weigh the hog, we were not even into pictures back then so I don't even have a picture to scan of the hog nor the rifle I used back then. I went back over the area to gather what pictures I did have in the article and took pictures of different rounds I load. So, there are some things that really lack in the story line to back up why one needs to Reload for Versatility, but G&A accepted it anyway.

I have improved in my article work with story line, pictures and total content in my last article that Nosler accepted, here is a link to that one.

You won't be sorry if you buy one. Ruger does not chamber it anymore in any of their rifles, which is designed to get people to miss them and want to buy them even after they sold a boat load of them. Get a used one, because you can't wear out a 358Win throat or barrel in a life time of use, so a used one is a good catch. Smile

Believe it or not, I have owned and hunted with all the above cartridges except the 270Wby and the 30 carbine which I owned but did not load for or hunt with.

I knew I liked you for some reason. 55 grains IMR4350 with a 165 TSX in a 24" barrel .30-06 will do a good job.
