She's the one that convinced me to come out to a match in the first place. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be out there every month beating you.

Negative - I will be in the woods searching for bambi.....unless I get lucky (in the woods not the sack) early in the week I'll be out of town. The open gun will be there in February ready to piss people off :-)

To keep this on topic:

I fully expect to try out any and all open guns that appear at the match.

Looks like you should have potentially 4 open guns to try out, Bud's, Betty's, Jimmy's, and Brandon's.

Brandon won't be there but I will gladly pay for any ammo I consume determining what I like.

I definitely wanna try the Glock open gun.

Don't know yet if will make New Year's Day as may be away.
On the other topic, Will, CONGRATULATIONS !!. Marriage can be great - I've had bad, good and better !!! Kind of like my shooting - there are good days and bad, good stages and some bad stages, but i keep coming back because I love it !!!

Always nice to see Lady (Jinnie, hope she doesn't beat me again, like always) and Junior shooters (Jackson and Blaise) attending the matches.

So far looks like Production division will have the most attends, 14 out of 23 registered shooters. Maybe I should shoot Limited 10, as of right now I'm a shoe in to win that division.

Add one more to Production JD, I just signed up. I am really looking forward to the first match of 2012, hopefully it will set a good pace towards my quest for A class. I also can't imagine what the "NC-17 Crew" could possibly come up with to top this past year but I bet it will be caught on video if we happen to miss it.

Don't think you should have any problems making A class.

I was thinking the NC-17 Squad should wear these hats, so folks with sensitive ears aren't offended:

As one with "sensitive" ears..... Let me just let all of you in on what I get to hear that apparently everyone else just tunes out. In two years of competing I have heard countless "F" bombs, vulgar jokes, and the b*tch word constantly. I have been made fun of when it rained at a match about me being the only female and prompted to put on a wet t-shirt contest. I have been bullied at matches about having to take my gear off just to go to the bathroom bc I might hold up a squad. I have had to shoot stages like " liquor in the front and poker in the rear". I get to listen to all kind of jokes about butts and breasts. Even seen it on this PUBLIC forum.
I get to hear all this bad behavior at every range I go to shoot. Some worse then others. But I refuse to let that make me feel uncomfortable enough to make me quit shooting. All I read from USPSA is how they want to make this a sport that women, juniors and families are welcome to. Well so far I havent seen any welcome mats in the entire southeast. I have an 8 year old daughter that begs me to teach her how to shoot and bring her to the range. I feel like she has just as much right to be there as I do. And I have just about had and heard all the bad behavior that I want. So if the NC-17 club or anyone else whose idea of fun is to refer to women as b*tches or make sexual jokes and use vulgar language for a good laugh wants to take on a mother who is protecting her daughter's right not to hear their vulgar jokes and bad behavior, then bring it on. I will not let her be subjected to that. She is a sweet little girl who doesnt deserve that. So if anyone wants to exercise their "Constitutional Right" to act like an idiot, then go do it somewhere else on someone elses squad.

I'll squad with you Jin. I'm pretty sure my wife and 4 year old are coming with me to this match. While I can't promise you I'll never slip up and cuss, it would only be due to pain or brain fart. Plus I'd love my wife to see that girls can enjoy the sport. She has shot with me once or twice and had a lot of fun.

Jinnie brought to light issues I'm sure some of us have noticed and failed to act upon. I feel in no way does Jinnie need me to fight her battles as she a very capable and strong lady, but with that said, it is my responsibility as a human to fight one groups mistreating of another.

Not going to stand here and pretend I'm perfect in this matter, I've done my fair share of acting like an idiot and not being totally aware of how my comments or actions would effect another person(s).

When I started shooting it seemed as though women and children were welcomed and encouraged to compete, something I was pleasantly surprised by, as my last sport golf, had it's share of resentful males that hated the fact women golfed. Now after reading Jinnie's comments I can recall comments or actions on the range, both made by me and others that would obviously upset folks.

I for one love this sport and would hate to think anyone stopped participating because they were made to feel uncomfortable in any way. We all need to be aware of the fact that everything we say and do is going to effect others differently, good or bad and we should try our best to think of the other person(s) before we open our mouth.

Please don't feel like I'm preaching, because I'm as guiltily as the next guy/gal and need to be more cognizant of my actions.

HURRRAHH !! I just drove back from Illinois and went to see what's new, and Voila !! All I can say is " Jinnie, you go girl" and JD, I echo what you said. This needs to be a family friendly sport and while I am certainly no saint I do try to be respectful of others, and maybe need to be even more mindfull ( And not just because Jinnie can shoot my lights out). It's a matter of respect of others, and also like JD I saw a lack of that on the golf course also. My wife keeps saying she is going to get up early and join us one day ( Has something to do with the cows coming home) because I am always telling her of the great people I have met and how friendly everybody is, and my new friends. I have made more friends in one year of shooting than in ten years of golf. I wouldn't want her to be hearing what Jinnie has pointed out. Then she would be asking me what kind of low lifes do I hang out with, which is certainly not the case.
Jinnie, thanks for bringing this up in a clear cut manner. It needed to be said and I know I needed a reminder. I look forward to squadding with you as I love not only watching you shoot, but also how you are always there setting up the stages buckets, pasting, resetting, painting and everything else that needs to be done - not just standing around like some, letting others do the work. You keep leading by example and Constance is going to be awfully proud of her Momma( I am sure she already is )

Jinnie, Everything you said in your post is true, not exaggeration. Joel and I would be honored to squad with you at any Match. We do not use foul language or make crude comments. You and your daughter are welcome to shoot Rimfire Silhouette with us also. Women and Juniors participate and excell in Rifle Silhouette in great numbers. If I run Silhouette matchs again foul language and comments will result in a DQ and no score in the shooter's book. Other Competitions should follow the same rule.
