Not sure where to post this... attack on CCW holders???

Post by pinetor on Wed Dec 21, 2011 11:14 am

I got this from my wife as an email forward... not at all sure of the legitimacy.

I did have this happen, but then I wasn't at a VA doctors office. I did run into a little of this when I had to visit a doctor other than my regular doctor when my doctor was on vacation. One of the questions on the form I had to fill out was: Do you have any guns in your house?? My answer was None of your damm business!! So it is out there! It is either an insurance issue or government intervention. Either way, it is out there and the second the government gets into your medical records (As they want to under Obamacare) it will become a major issue and will ultimately result in lock and load!!

Please pass this on to all the other retired guys and gun owners...Thanks
From a Vietnam Vet and retired Police Officer:

I had a doctors appointment at the local VA clinic yesterday and found out
something very interesting that I would like to pass along.
While going through triage before seeing the doctor, I was asked at the
end of the exam, three questions:

1. Did I feel stressed?
2. Did I feel threatened?
3. Did I feel like doing harm to someone?

The nurse then informed me, that if I had answered yes to any of the
questions, I would have lost my concealed carry permit as it would have
gone into my medical records and the VA would have reported it to
Homeland Security.

Looks like they are going after the vets first. Other gun people like retired law
enforcement will probably be next. Then when they go after the civilians, what
argument will they have? Be forewarned and be aware.

The Obama administration has gone on record as considering veterans and
gun owners potential terrorists. Whether you are a gun owner veteran or not, YOU"VE BEEN WARNED !

I could see those snakes in DC doing that. God bless our troops, past and present.

Thanks Pinetor. Don't want to get blindsided. I need to go to the VA, I lost my hearing working the flightdeck and having the 1st Cat directly above our shop.

Everytime I go into the VA they ask me these questions. I had to drop my PTSD claim and quit going to the shrink there just to make sure nothing happens. I don't trust the VA at all.

I don't trust the VA at all.
Ditto, I been going to the VA for decades, got a peek at my records a couple of years after I got my FFL. Among the comments were: " Known to carry firearms, prone to outbursts of violence, do not provoke."

BTW, outbursts of violence was giving a doctor a piece of my mind after he did something stupid. God forbid if this had happened after 911...would prolly be on the terrorist list or something...dummys!

Well I made one mistake when I went in to the VA one of the first times. They asked me if I was suicidal and I said "hell no, why would I want to kill myself? That's ridiculous, I would get homicidal and kill that idiot that is annoying me before I kill myself." They weren't too keen on that answer. I got a lot of wide-eyed faces. I have seen my records and they document all my deployments and when and where I was for the major engagements (RCT 1 for the invasion, Fallujah -'04/ Phantom Fury, Op Matador) so that let's them know I'm not there to mess around. It's funny how they want to focus on the mental issues more than the two rods and screws in my leg from shrapnel and getting shot, they couldn't care less about that. I have gone off at a few doctors and got escorted off the premisis a few times. It's asinine that they think just because they were in the Nation Guard in the mid 80's they know all about what I am going through and what I have seen, really? I didn't know the NG was so similiar to being a Mechanic/Marksmanship Instructor/Machinegunner/Grunt in the Marine Corps. Who knew?

The reason I carry a firearm concealed is because I don't want people to know. That being said, I wouldn't tell any of them if I carried or not!

A number of states and some MDs not liking this baloney mandated by the AMA, have
passed or looked at laws outright making such questioning illegal, but I suspect the VA
would merely ignore them claiming immunity from state statutes on federal property,
I don't know if Mississippi has addressed this yet or not, but nestled down in the fine
print of Obamacare thanks to Pelosi, you can bet there is language making this mandatory
for all medical personnel once its fully implemented in a few years, our best hope to
avoid this is the SCOTUS overturning the entire law based on the intrusive nature of
the individual mandate and if they don't, all Obama has to do is issue one executive
order like Feinstein wanted in the past, "Ladies and gentlemen of America, turn them
ALL in NOW!!!!!!!" and at that in one fell swoop he will have made criminals of most of
the US!!

I don't fill out the questions on those forms and so far they still let me see the Dr. If they start refusing me I will have to go somewhere else.

That easy, I have taught my kids from the time they learned to shoot to always tell anybody that ask even there friends at school we don't own any guns. I think there have been a many a guns stolen just by people bragging about what they have and other people hearing about and then breaking to homes.

Good advice. Taught my kids to shoot around 4 (son and daughter). Went through the same thing about talking about what they had learned.
Doctors and such have been turned into the gestapo for the ATF with their questions and such. Never had to answer one of those but I think a "none of your business" is worse than a yes. With the "none of your business", they take that as aggressiveness in their little world.

I have not yet had this happen but if/when I do all I will write is "do you?" and see what the answer is to that.

A few years ago when I went to take my psychological exam for 911 two of the questions that was asked on the exam was if I felt that everyone had the right to own a firearm and if individuals should have the right to carry a firearm on them. I answered yes for both questions. Of course, it was just two of about 200 questions. It has several other questions such as if people for the most part were trustworthy, which I put "not usually", and several other questions concerning my thoughts on society, morals, drugs, and several other things. I did not expect that the majority of the psychological testing would be a written test. I only spoke with the psychologist for about 10 min. I answered truthfully on everything. I figured that some of my answers may not look favorable for me, but at least I was honest. Either way I got the job.
