Felt Recoil
Does a Ruger Mini 14 in 223 have more felt recoil than a AR-15 in 223?
What would be the advantage/disadvantage of the old Garand system over the AR-15 system?
Whats the deal???

Re: Felt Recoil
Used to have a Mini 14 ranch rifle, to tell ya the truth I never felt any recoil from a .223 regardless of platform. Sold it cause I shot my ARs more, never had any issues with it, just never shot it that much.

Re: Felt Recoil
Felt recoil really depends on several things mainly weight am muzzle break... A 4lb 223 will stomp you in the dirt compared to a 16lb 308

I would love to see this stomp you in the ground .223. I was almost sure you could shoot it out of a deringer with little recoil.

Re: Felt Recoil
The AR kicks less. One of it's selling points was full auto fire that is more manageable because there is no op rod contributing to the recoil. A Garand action in the rain will throw water in your face and seize when the grease is washed away. The mini is not a Garand action, just looks similar.
